Event Overview

Celebrate Veterans Day with Veterans Exploration Therapy (V.E.T.) on a high-altitude journey of reflection and camaraderie. This exclusive sunrise expedition gives 9 veterans the rare opportunity to step out of the daily grind and gain a peaceful, broader perspective from 10,000 feet above the Colorado landscape.

This flight is more than a scenic ride, it is a shared space for grounding, healing, and connecting with fellow service members. The adventure includes approximately 40 minutes to one hour of flight time over scenic Colorado Springs, followed by a post-flight continental breakfast, a classic celebratory toast, and an official aeronaut flight certificate to mark the occasion.

  • Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2026 (Veterans Day)
  • Time: 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM MDT
  • Included: ~1 hour flight time, continental breakfast, celebratory toast, and an official aeronaut flight certificate

III. Essential Participant Requirements & Logistics

  • Weather Cancellation & Backup Date Disclaimer: Hot air ballooning is strictly weather-dependent. Approximately 25–30% of flights are postponed or canceled due to wind, low ceiling, or fog. If weather grounds us on November 11, 2026, our official backup date is Friday, November 13, 2026. All participants must keep both dates open as registrations automatically transfer.
  • Strict Weight Cap: All participants must be under 250 lbs to comply with FAA safety regulations and balloon weight distribution. Adventures Out West will discreetly weigh all participants at check-in.
  • Health & Safety: Participants must be at least 6 years old and cannot be pregnant. All guests must complete the Adventures Out West liability waiver prior to launch.
  • What to Wear & Pack: Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Dress in warm layers (jacket, hat, gloves, warm socks), as early morning mountain air can be crisp. Bring a full water bottle.

Important: All event activities will take place on November 11. The extended end date displayed on Eventbrite is for administrative purposes only. There are no additional event activities scheduled after November 11.
