Event Overview

September 11, 2026 marks 25 years since that day changed everything. For so many of the veterans we serve, it's the reason they answered the call in the first place. This year, Veterans Exploration Therapy (V.E.T.) is partnering with the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD) to mark that anniversary the way it should be marked: with strength, speed, and a mountain under their wheels.

We're bringing a group of disabled veterans to Trestle Bike Park at Winter Park Resort for a full day of guided downhill mountain biking, lift accessed and fully supported from top to bottom. This is one of the top bike parks in North America, and on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, it belongs to them.

This event is built for veterans with prior mountain biking experience (true beginners may find the terrain too challenging). Lift tickets and equipment, including full suspension bikes, safety pad packages, and Bowhead adaptive bikes, are provided in partnership with NSCD.

To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience on the mountain, this event is tailored for veterans with prior mountain biking experience (true beginners may find the terrain too challenging). Lift tickets and equipment options (including full-suspension bikes, safety pad packages, and Bowhead adaptive bikes) are provided in partnership with NSCD.
