Event Overview
Join us for a 3-day whitewater rafting and camping adventure on the Upper Colorado River, August 8–10, 2025!
This overnight trip is more than just a weekend getaway. It’s a chance to challenge yourself, build community, and reconnect with nature in a safe and supportive environment. We’ll kick things off Friday afternoon by meeting at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Pavilion before making the scenic 2.5 hour drive to the Pumphouse Campground near Kremmling, Colorado. After setting up camp, we’ll share a relaxing evening meal under the stars and settle in for a night surrounded by nature.
Saturday is all about the river. Participants will learn and apply paddling techniques on a guided rafting trip through Class II and III rapids with certified guides from the National Sports Center for the Disabled (NSCD). This “challenge by choice” approach means you’ll only push yourself as far as you’re comfortable, with adaptive systems available and full instructor support the entire way. Expect to build confidence, learn new skills, and work as a team to conquer the water together.
After an exhilarating day on the river, we’ll return to camp for dinner and a well-earned rest. On Sunday morning, we’ll pack up, enjoy a final breakfast together, and head back to Denver with new memories and connections.
All meals will be provided throughout the trip, but feel free to bring your own snacks, drinks, or anything else that helps you feel comfortable and at home outdoors. No experience necessary. Just bring a willingness to try something new, be part of a team, and embrace the adventure. Participants should bring appropriate water gear, a reusable water bottle, and a sense of excitement. We’ll take care of the rest.
Let the river carry you forward. Sign up now and be part of something powerful.
