Challenge yourself and connect with a supportive community at our rock climbing event at Hobbs Peak. This Veterans Exploration Therapy program is designed to help veterans and their families build confidence, overcome perceived limitations, and foster mental wellness through the exhilarating experience of rock climbing.
This event is beginner-friendly. Our experienced guides will provide all necessary climbing gear and instruction, focusing on safety and making sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. This is more than just a climb, it is a chance to build trust, strengthen bonds, and discover new strengths in the natural environment.
Itinerary
- 09:00 AM: Meet and check-in at the designated rendezvous point. Our staff will collect waivers and provide a quick overview of the day.
- 09:15 AM: Travel to Hobbs Peak and approach the climbing location.
- 09:45 AM: Arrive at the climbing site. Our guides will lead a safety briefing and provide an introduction to the climbing equipment and techniques.
- 10:15 AM – 02:00 PM: Guided rock climbing with certified instructors. Participants will have the opportunity to climb and belay in a safe and controlled environment.
- 12:00 PM: Mid-day break for lunch and group rest.
- 02:00 PM – 02:30 PM: Wind down, pack up equipment, and prepare to depart the peak.
- 02:30 PM – 03:00 PM: Return to the original meeting location.

What Participants Should Bring To ensure a safe and comfortable day, please come prepared with the following:
- Water: A full water bottle.
- Food: A sack lunch and snacks for the day.
- Footwear: Closed-toe, closed-heel trail runners or boots are REQUIRED for the approach to the climbing site.
- Clothing: Comfortable, weather-appropriate attire. Layers are recommended as temperatures can change.
- Sun Protection: Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are highly recommended.
